Another year, another new crop of housewives! Rarely these days does a season return with the same group of women as the previous year. In this case, Bravo decided to clear house and recast half the women, leaving only Tamra, Vicki and Heather to return. However, it didn’t take long to find new ladies willing the fill their spots. Can you believe Real Housewives of Orange County is about to enter its ninth season? It’s been almost a decade of watching these wacky women navigate the ups and downs of life. Naturally, it was time to shake things up. Alexis and Gretchen’s storyline had grown stale and Lydia didn’t take to the franchise like production, and herself, would’ve liked, so it was time to bring in new blood.
Most of you already read here that a new housewife, Shannon Beador, had joined early on in filming. Also, Chelsea Lately comedienne and Tamra’s real life friend, Heather McDonald, was seen filming at multiple events, presumably as a friend of the housewives, probably to fill a void as producers scrambled to continue adding new women to the cast.
